PTO Meeting Minutes

PTO Meeting November 1st

• Raffle tickets prices will stay at $1 as this seems to have been the consensus of parents.
• No School November 10^th, 11^th, 24^th, and 25^th
• Kid’s in school Christmas party (not the program): December 21^st
  • PJ Day
  • There will be a Christmas gift exchange between students during the in-school Christmas party with a limit of $20 with no gift cards please. Further instructions will be sent home with parents.
  • Rusty’s for lunch
  • Games and/or Movie
• Kid’s Christmas Program: December 22^nd at 10 am
  • Will send a letter to assign families to food to bring
• Will open apparel orders in the spring for anyone who would like to order
• Phyne Photography may or may not be available next year
  • Notify teachers if there are known potential replacements
• Student Apprecaition Week tentatively 6^th – 10^th
• Skiing at Huff Hills potentially in January
• Ice Skating tentatively on Valentine’s Day
• Next meeting date January 26^th, 2023

PTO Meeting September 6th

• Field trip to Matt and Lisa Rebinitsch: Friday September 23^rd
  • Wear painting clothes and bring a hand pruner, if available
• Picture day is October 24^th
  • Papa’s Pumpkin Patch closes the weekend prior
  • Plan to tour the newly remodeled Morton Mandan Library in the morning, pictures at Phyne Photography at 11, Lunch at 12:30, then bowling at Midway Lanes
    • Lunch location TBD: Potentially Mandan Pizza Ranch or at Fotza Mozzaroni Pizzeria at Midway Lanes
  • Let teachers know if you are available to be a chaperone/driver
• Red Ribbon Week October 24^th – 28^th
  • Dress up themes to follow
• Halloween party October 31^st
  • Lunch at Rusty’s, Trick or Treating around town, Trunk or Treat around 2:15
    • Invite others to decorate for the Trunk or Treat
• Little Heart Apparel
  • Dakota Awards has been chosen as the supplier
  • Watch for order forms soon
  • New students get a free T shirt and sweatshirt
  • Each student gets $20 from the PTO to spend on apparel
  • Personalization (names on back) available again
• Sign up is now available to provide a meal or two to the students through the school year. Talk to one of the teachers to sign up for a date.
• PTO Christmas Raffle
  • Prizes will be due the first week of November
    • Letters for businesses will go out to families prior to that
  • It was discussed whether to keep ticket price at $1 or increase it to $2/ticket
    • No decision was made at this time; plan to put it to vote to school body
• If you have outgrown Little Heart gear in good condition, you may bring it to the school for others to use or give it directly to someone in the school who will fit it.
