MEETING MINUTES

Regular meeting held at St. Anthony School at 7pm. Board member B. Fisher was absent. Visitor was Jennifer Vetter. Meeting was called to order by President Jesse Smith. The minutes of the last regular meeting were read. There being no corrections or omissions, the minutes were approved as read.

Rusty’s Saloon & Grill has donated a bench and picnic table to the school playground to be used by students and staff, along with the community.

S. Fisher motioned to purchase a 25-hour block of IT labor from Fireside Office Solutions, was seconded K. Fisher. Motion carried.

The bills were presented. Motion by Knoll that all bills listed be allowed and paid, was seconded by K. Fisher. Motion carried.

There being no further business S. Fisher motioned to adjourn, was seconded by Knoll. Motion carried.

MEETING MINUTES

AUGUST 8, 2023

Regular meeting held at St. Anthony School at 8pm. Board Member Knoll was absent. Visitors were Jennifer Vetter and Braylen Willows. Meeting was called to order by President Jesse Smith. The minutes of the last regular meeting were read. There being no corrections or omissions, the minutes were approved as read.

A discussion was held on a new picnic table and bench for the playground.

A resignation from the school board was received from Ron Leingang.

S. Fisher motioned to appoint Kelly Fisher to fill the vacated position on the school board formerly held by Ron Leingang, was seconded by B. Fisher. Motion carried.

B. Fisher motioned to purchase four new iPads and cases, was seconded by K. Fisher. Motion carried.

B. Fisher motioned to hire Bellany Barnhardt for the After School Program at $22 an hour, was seconded by S. Fisher. Motion carried.

The bills were presented. Motion by K. Fisher that all bills listed be allowed and paid, was seconded by S. Fisher. Motion carried.

There being no further business K. Fisher motioned to adjourn was seconded by B. Fisher. Motion carried.

MEETING MINUTES

JULY 11, 2023

8:00 PM

 

Regular meeting held at St. Anthony School at 8pm. Board Members S. Fisher and Leingang were absent. Visitors were Jennifer Vetter, Sarah Voigt, and Kelly Fisher. Meeting was called to order by President Jesse Smith. The minutes of the last regular meeting were read. There being no corrections or omissions, the minutes were approved as read.

The bills were presented. Motion by Knoll that all bills listed be allowed and paid, was seconded by B. Fisher. Motion carried.

The Board was reorganized. A nomination was made for Jesse Smith as President of the School Board. A nomination was made for Toni Knoll as Vice President of the School Board. A nomination was made for Brandon Fisher as Delegate of the School Board. No other nominations were made.

Sarah Voigt was re-hired as the teacher’s aide for the 2023-2024 school year.

Knoll motioned to re-hire Melissa Fisher as Business Manager for $1,050/month, was seconded by Smith. Motion carried.

School board meetings will be held every 2nd Tuesday of the month May-September at 8pm and October-April at 7pm. Motioned by Knoll, seconded by B. Fisher. Motion carried.

B. Fisher motioned to pay board members $165 per meeting, was seconded by Knoll. Motion carried.

Knoll motioned to re-hire Melissa Fisher as the school’s janitor, was seconded Smith. Motion carried.

There being no further business Knoll motioned to adjourn was seconded by B. Fisher. Motion carried.

 

A special meeting was held on July 18, 2023 to discuss the budget.

Knoll made a motion to hire Harlow’s School Bus Service for transportation to Fort Stevenson State Park, not to exceed $600.00, was seconded by Leingang. Motion carried.

S. Fisher made a motion, seconded by Knoll, to approve the second reading and adopt the following policies. Motion Carried.

  1. AAC – Nondiscrimination and Anti-Harassment Policy
  2. AACA – Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 Policy

The bills were presented. Motion by Knoll that all bills listed be allowed and paid, was seconded by Leingang. Motion carried.

Regular meeting held at St. Anthony School at 7pm. Board Member Leingang was absent. Visitor was Karlee Ostgard. Meeting was called to order by President Jesse Smith. The minutes of the last regular meeting were read. There being no corrections or omissions, the minutes were approved as read.

A discussion was held on the development of our virtual learning policy and the work of the development of this policy continues. The virtual learning policy will include that if a device is damaged, the device will be replaced by the student at full replacement value for the current model of the damaged device and/or accessories.

The 2023-2024 School Calendar was presented. B. Fisher motioned to approve the 2023-2024 School Calendar, was seconded by S. Fisher. Motion carried.

S. Fisher made a motion to hire Brandt Custom Contracting for the bathroom remodel and painting project, was seconded by Knoll. Motion carried.

B. Fisher made a motion, seconded by S. Fisher, to approve the first reading of the following policies. Motion Carried.

Regular meeting held at St. Anthony School at 7pm. Board Member Knoll was absent. Visitor was Jennifer Vetter. Meeting was called to order by President Jesse Smith. The minutes of the last regular meeting were read. There being no corrections or omissions, the minutes were approved as read.

A discussion was held on the Christmas Program.

A discussion was held on replacing the folding chairs in the basement, since the floor has been refinished, to avoid scratching of the new floor.

Leingang made a motion, seconded by B. Fisher, to approve the first reading, waive the second reading and adopt the following policies. Motion Carried.

B. BDAA – Contracts Supersede Policy and Regulations

C. BDAB – Savings Clause

Discussion was continued on repainting the walls and the gymnasium.

The public hearing meeting was closed at 8:45pm and the regular meeting was reopened. The bills were presented. Motion by Barnhardt that all bills listed be allowed and paid, was seconded by Leingang. Motion carried. There being no further business Knoll motioned to adjourn was seconded by Barnhardt.
